Important Information

Mixed Construction Waste 

  • Mixed waste skips cannot be filled with more than 20% non-recyclable material. 
  • Skips must not be filled over the level load. Overloaded skips will be subject to a surcharge. Skips which are overloaded are unable to be collected for Health and Safety reasons. 
  • The hire is for up to 7 days. 
  • Skip collections must be booked in with our office on 0131 440 4894 or email info@midlothianskiphire.co.uk. 
  • Skips can be placed in a driveway at the customer’s own risk

Non-Recyclable Material (Maximum 20% accepted in each skip):

  • Televisions and monitors,
  • carpets,
  • underlay,
  • mattresses,
  • sofas,
  • textiles, 
  • gym equipment, 
  • oil cans and containers, 
  • food waste, 
  • roof felt

The following materials will not be accepted:

  • food waste,
  • Tyres,
  • fridges,
  • hazardous waste,
  • paint and solvents,
  • batteries,
  • asbestos,
  • excrement,
  • gas canisters and containers,
  • needles and sharps
